- Bricklaying
- Brick is the trade I came up in. A full house, an extension, a single feature wall, a boundary fence or a run of piers: every brick laid by hand, plumb, level, gauged and pointed clean. Twenty years on the trowel, across Australia and now the Top End.
- Cyclone-rated block laying
- Most Top End homes, sheds and commercial jobs are besser block for good reason. I lay to your engineer's spec, core-fill and reinforce as detailed, and keep every course gauged so the face is render-ready. Laid right and core-filled, it stands up to cyclonic wind and the wet.
- Retaining walls
- Besser block, brick, split-face and rendered retaining, sized and drained for the load and the ground it holds back. The footing, the steel and the drainage do the work; the face is the bit you look at. I repair existing retaining walls too, whatever they're built from.
- Stone work
- Sandstone bases, walls and feature work, laid new or restored. Old stone gets matched, repointed and repaired so the fix disappears into the wall.
- Feature & architectural masonry
- The work I chase: free-hand curved walls set by eye, breeze-block screens, splay corners and carved detail. Send through the design or a photo and I'll tell you how it builds.
- Rendering
- Cement render over new block and brick, feature walls and fences, flat and clean with crisp corners, ready to paint. My own block is laid render-ready, so it takes a coat without a fight. Done well, render sits dead flat with no map-cracking.
