The challenge
Match existing 1920s brickwork. The owner had patched in over the years with whatever was on hand. We sourced reclaimed bricks to within a shade of the original.
A red-brick staircase that returns into a curved landing. Each tread cut to fit, each riser bonded into the wall behind.

Curve setting
The curve started at the bottom tread and tightened toward the top. Each course of the curved wall had to be planned around the brick cuts.
